The new library and youth center opened in Laajasalo Helsinki in November 2018.
The community engagement was a substantive part of the library project; our designers had a workshop with preschoolers and the ladies of Martha organization.

Finnfund is a development financier which builds a sustainable world by investing in responsible and profitable businesses in developing countries. The company moved to their new HQ in spring 2019.
Finnfund aspires to convey their background of multiculturalism in their office interior. Finland is represented in the furniture choices and the colourful themes are a breeze from abroad.
Touhula is a private sector childcare service provider that has grown to become the largest provider in Finland with over 170 locations. Franz has been collaborating with Touhula since 2017, with the Touhula HQ in Helsinki as one part of this collaboration.
The client's brief was to create a sophisticated working space that hinted at elements from the daycare world. The spaces required flexibility for different occasions, such as employee workshops or bigger events.
Finnkino opened it’s brand new movie theater to Itäkeskus shopping center in Helsinki in December 2018.
This two floor complex includes 6 regular theaters, two official Luxe theaters and Finland’s first IMAX threater. Big candy store downstairs and an Oscar’s bar upstairs are available for all visitors.
The goal was to create a new fresh look and try out a different layout where client flow would always goes through the store area. The lobby and VIP areas are only available after the ticket validation creating a more intimate lobby kind space.

A fast growing IT company Wolt moved to their new office in August 2018.
The staff requested a home like space with lots of room to hang out. For a food delivery company and it’s staff a fully equipped and centered kitchen played a big role in the design. Kitchen and living room are the heart of the layout.
The design was divided in two moods: Light and warm working spaces and and a more public living room with a sauna in the second floor.
Wolt is a big community of playful young people who love to hangout together and Franz created multiple different spots for people to meet and interact.
HAAWE BOUTIQUE HOTEL
Haawe (The Dream) is a 13 room luxury boutique hotel located in the center of Rovaniemi in northern Finland. The building was originally built in 1933 and it’s historically remarkable for standing after the war while most of the town was burned to the ground.
The concept is inspired by Lapland’s magical nature and each room has a unique nordic theme created with high-quality materials. Our team started with unique lighting technology and elements to create bold, comfortable moods for each room. The themes vary between a summery mountain brook, the rich colors of autumn in lapland, to cold and snowy fjäll color schemes . The apartments are from 28 square meters up to 65 square meters with well equipped kitchens and bathrooms.
Each design and detail was created to follow the clients strong visions about the dream of Haawe.

SOKOS HOTEL VAASA
Traditional Sokos Hotel Vaasa requested a cost efficient facelift for their 285 rooms.
Franz created a concept of three different themes and colour schemes for Standard Twin, Suite and Standard Queen rooms. These themes were implicated to the rooms in collaboration with carpenters.
The renovation was completed in the spring 2018.
Vapa Media’s staff moved to their new office in spring 2018.
The client had a clear vision of an open and functional space.
The spatial concept was created around the company’s vision of themselves and the way they wanted to express their identity.
These people aren’t afraid of colour!
WINE CAFE OLAVI
Teerenpeli Group is a family-owned company which consists of Teerenpeli Brewery & Distillery, Teerenpeli restaurants and Taivaanranta, A la carte restaurant. The newest addition to the reastaurant family is Wine & Café Olavi in Lahti.
The restaurant group wanted to create a new concept that would offer cafeteria products, food and wine from early in the morning to late at night. The Café serves everything from breakfast to after work wines and brunch on the weekends.
The Café is named after Olavi Lanu, a local sculptor and a professor. His art is spread around Lahti area and a park Lanupuisto is also named after him.
The client wished for a relaxed, easily approachable and interesting space that would offer something new every visit.
Finnish IT company Fraktio moved to their new office in Kamppi, Helsinki in fall 2017. Fraktio people wanted Franz to design home like spaces where people would like hang out also after the working hours.
Eventually this office has everything you would ever need at home, including a big panorama sauna and an old secret movie theater.
Franz’s new office was renovated during summer 2017 and the team moved in in August 2017. This lovely attic space full of character was found after a long search.
The space was renovated entirely from small divided spaces to an airy open office space. Our team designed a fully equipped kitchen and an open workshop space for creative moments and get-togethers.
The Office’s treasure is a hidden sunny rooftop terrace.
Torrefazione café opened their sixth coffee shop in the heart of Hakaniemi, Helsinki in fall 2017.
The client had a strong vision of the concept since the very beginning and Franz was happy to make all the ideas come true. Main characters for the design were defined to be relaxed and home like.
This cosy green café is all about the details.
SILJA MS VICTORIA I
The refreshed and renewed entrance of the Victoria I was introduced to the public in late 2016. Franz also designed and modernized the lounge and shopping areas of the ship.

LUXURY COLLECTION AUTOMOBILES
The first store under the Luxury Collection Automobiles brand opened in Lempäälä RealPark in April 2017. Luxury Collection Automobiles Ltd is the biggest importer of luxury and supercars in Finland. The assignment entailed the look of the retail space, the facade entrance and the areas for customer service and maintenance. More to come!

PICNIC FINLAND OY
Franz designs the Finnish Picnic chain of cafeterias.
The Fredrikinkatu location was exceptional in that Franz collaborated with the blogger Alexa Dagmar, turning the cafe into a sleek, new kind of street-front location for the brand.

Nosto, one of the fastest growing companies in Finland, designs solutions for enhanced customer experiences in online retail. With offices in six countries, cultural diversity was one of the themes when designing the new headquarters. Our team was keen to focus on an efficient and comfortable multi-mode working environment for both employees and management.

Fafa's, established by Doron Karavan in 2011, is a restaurant chain specializing in Middle Eastern cuisine with a vegetarian emphasis. Franz has been the head designer for Fafa's since 2016. Fafa's boasts 11 restaurants plus five franchise locations, with more under development.

Tommy Hilfiger Sportswear/Denim
One of the world's leading lifestyle brands introduced its latest store in Kamppi shopping center in April 2017. Franz designed, organized and oversaw the execution of the concept store as the local coordinator of the Nordic shop development group.

BARONA TECHNOLOGIES, HELSINKI
Barona Technologies is a startup hub for five Barona Group companies. The new premises were designed to be adaptable for a fast-paced and spirited community. The working title Kekkonen Meets California is articulated in the playful and boundary-crossing atmosphere of the spaces.

The new Finnkino multiplex opened in fall 2017, along with the extension of the Iso Omena shopping center.
The flagship of the seven theaters is the magnificent Scape, which features the latest in cinema entertainment technology. Franz designed the lounge areas along with their shopfronts and infographics.
